In August, the number of total  produced vehicles exceeded 1,714.4 thousand with a decrease of 0.34% (QoQ) and 2.22% increase (YoY) in China. The number of sales volume increased to 1,715.6 thousand with a QoQ increase of 6.02% and YoY increase of 4.04% according to data of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers in August.

According to CAAM’s latest data, number of produced passenger vehicles  was 1,481 thousand with a increasse of 0.57% (QoQ) and 6.72% (YoY) and commercial vehicles sales volume exceeded 247.4 thousand with a decrease of 4.94% (QoQ) and 16.36% (YoY) in August 2014. MPV had growth rate of 22.7% (QoQ) and 38.3% (YoY), it showed great potential in automobile market in China.

China Top 3 Passenger Vehicle Manufactures by sales in August were FAW-Volkswagen, Shanghai General Motors and Shanghai Volkswagen.

In August, the sales volume of China’s passenger vehicles was 545.1 thousand with an YoY increase of 5.69%, accounting for 37.13% of total sales volume in China. Passenger vehicles from Germany, Japan, America, South Korea and France accounted for 21.61%, 15.14%, 13.01%, 8.92% and 3.95% of total sales volume respectively.

It is estimated that China automobile market will have its recovery and it also depends on China’s macro-economy.
